➢ ➢ Ensure ON-OFF switch is OFF.
➢ ➢ Disconnect power cord from electrical

➢ ➢ Replace belt whenever a burning
rubber smell caused by excessive
slippage occurs.
➢ ➢ Place CARPET/BARE FLOOR
selector in CARPET position.
➢ ➢ Remove belt cover by pressing on
tab and lifting off belt cover.
➢ ➢ Remove worn or broken belt.
➢ ➢ Loop new belt around motor shaft
and pulley; see illustration for correct
belt routing.
➢ ➢ Ensure that belt is not twisted or
pinched.
➢ ➢ Reinstall belt cover and snap into
place.
➢ ➢ DO NOT operate cleaner without belt
cover in place.
