INTRODUCTION
This tripod is designed to be used for both digital photo and video cameras due to its unique
hybrid ball head.
The tripod is extremely compact and lightweight making it easy to pack and carry around.

SET UP

Unlock the head by rotating wheel "Q" backward.
Open the 3 tripod legs. To adjust the height of the tripod, each leg has telescopic extensions
that can be released by opening lever "A" on the locking collar "B". When the required height is
achieved, lock lever "A".
Open the leg sections in order from the top down (thinnest section last) to reach the desired
height.
Using the larger leg sections first will help your tripod give you more stable support.
CENTER COLUMN HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
The center column of a tripod is best used for final height adjustment or to reach the maximum
extension possible when this is absolutely necessary.
To release the centre column "D", unlock knob "E" and adjust the height of the column as
required. Tighten knob "E" to lock the column in position.
RELEASING THE CAMERA MOUNTING PLATE FROM THE HEAD
To remove plate "H", push safety lever "I" and, at the same time, slide the plate as shown in
figure 3.
FITTING THE QUICK RELEASE PLATE TO YOUR CAMERA OR CAMCORDER
Remove the cap "Z".
Fix the camcorder or the camera onto plate "H" (fig. 4) by screwing camera screw "M" into the
camera's threaded hole using a coin. Please take care not to overtighten the screw because
you could damage camera/camcorder base.
MOUNTING THE CAMCORDER/CAMERA ON THE HEAD
Slide the camera and camera plate "H" into the head, ensuring you push the plate downwards
(fig. 5) so that the dovetail sides "N" are firmly gripped. Slide the plate forwards until locking

lever "I" clicks upwards and locks the plate in position. Check that the camera is fitted securely
before use.
RELEASING THE CAMERA
When you need to remove the camera from the tripod head, hold the camera securely in one
hand, push lever "I" with the other, and slide the camera and plate backwards out of the head.

HEAD SET UP
&
The head can be used for photography or video. The main difference is that, for video, you will
probably want to ensure that the camera can't tilt from side to side so that panning movements
(like tracking a passing subject, or moving the camera around to take in a wide horizon) are
steady.

The head has a special setting which blocks panoramic movements to a single axis.
For photographic use, you may want movements on all axes to be free (as they are with normal
ball heads or Manfrotto grip action heads) so that you can frame your subject exactly as you
wish and you can shot "portrait" images rotate button "P" (fig. 6) anti-clockwise so that the
arrow points to the "photo" position.
NOTE
When you need to change set up from photo to video use, please first ensure the handle "W" is
positioned as shown in figure 7 aligning "video" position with button "P" and rotate it clockwise
so that the arrow points to the "video" position. The tripod head should be pre-set in this
position when you first take it out of the box.
HEAD USE

The head is unlocked by rotating wheel "Q" backward and locked by rotating wheel "Q"
onward.
Unlock the head to position your camera as required for the shot, then lock it in place before
shooting for stable support.

INTRODUZIONE
Questo treppiede è progettato per l'uso con fotocamere e videocamere digitali, grazie all'esclu-
siva testa a sfera ibrida.
Il treppiede è estremamente compatto e leggero per facilitarne il trasporto in ogni circostanza.
CARATTERISTICHE PRINCIPALI:
• Testa a sfera ibrida foto/video
• Bloccaggio/sbloccaggio rapido della testa con una sola ghiera
• Bloccaggi rapidi delle sezioni, per portare facilmente il treppiede all'altezza desiderata

PREPARAZIONE
Sbloccare la testa ruotando la ghiera "Q" all'indietro. Divaricare le 3 gambe del treppiede.
Per regolare l'altezza del treppiede, ogni gamba dispone di sezioni telescopiche che si possono
liberare aprendo la leva "A" sul manicotto di bloccaggio "B". Una volta raggiunta l'altezza richie-
sta, bloccare la leva "A". Allungare le sezioni nell'ordine dall'alto verso il basso (lasciando per
ultima la sezione più sottile) fino a raggiungere l'altezza desiderata. Impiegando di preferenza le
sezioni di maggiore diametro, il treppiede assicurerà un supporto più stabile.
REGOLAZIONE DELL'ALTEZZA DELLA COLONNA CENTRALE

Per la migliore stabilità, è preferibile usare la colonna centrale di un treppiede come regolazione
finale dell'altezza, oppure per raggiungere la massima estensione possibile quando questo è
assolutamente necessario.
Per liberare la colonna centrale "D", sbloccare la manopola "E" e regolare l'altezza della colonna
come richiesto. Serrare la manopola "E" per bloccare la colonna in posizione.

SBLOCCAGGIO DELLA PIASTRA RAPIDA DALLA TESTA
Per rimuovere la piastra "H", premere la sicura "I" facendo contemporaneamente scorrere la
piastra come illustrato in figura 3.

FISSAGGIO DELLA PIASTRA RAPIDA SULLA FOTOCAMERA O VIDEOCAMERA
Rimuovere la protezione "Z".
Fissare la videocamera o la fotocamera alla piastra "H" (fig. 4), avvitando la vite "M" nell'attacco
filettato dell'apparecchio usando una moneta. Per non danneggiare la base della fotocamera o
videocamera, evitare di serrare la vite con forza eccessiva.

MONTAGGIO DELLA VIDEOCAMERA/FOTOCAMERA SULLA TESTA
Montare la fotocamera/videocamera con la piastra "H" sulla testa, verificando il corretto inse-
rimento nell'apposita sede (fig. 5) in modo che i lati con innesto a coda di rondine "N" risultino
bloccati saldamente. Fare scorrere in avanti la piastra fino a sentire lo scatto della sicura "I" che
assicura il bloccaggio della piastra nella posizione corretta. Verificare l'affidabilità del bloccaggio
prima di usare la fotocamera o la videocamera.
PER LIBERARE LA VIDEOCAMERA/FOTOCAMERA
Per rimuovere la fotocamera/videocamera dalla testa del treppiede, reggerla saldamente con
una mano, premere la sicura "I" con l'altra ed estrarre l'apparecchio dalla testa con un movimen-
to all'indietro.

IMPOSTAZIONE DELLA TESTA
E
La testa può essere utilizzata per fotografia o video. La differenza principale è che in genere
per il video si desidera evitare l'inclinazione laterale per stabilizzare i movimenti in panoramica.
Questo consente di seguire con maggiore regolarità il passaggio di un soggetto in movimento o
di effettuare panoramiche sul paesaggio mantenendo la posizione orizzontale. La testa dispone
di un'impostazione speciale per limitare ad un solo asse i movimenti in panoramica.
Per l'impiego fotografico, in genere si preferisce la libertà di movimento su tutti gli assi (come
con le teste a sfera Manfrotto, normali o rapide). Per avere la massima libertà di inquadratura,
consentendo anche le riprese in verticale (ritratto), ruotare il selettore "P" (fig. 6) in senso antiora-
rio portando la freccia sulla posizione "PHOTO".
NOTA
Quando si desidera cambiare l'impostazione da foto a video, assicurarsi prima che l'impugna-
tura "W" sia disposta come illustrato in figura 7 (la posizione "VIDEO" deve trovarsi allineata col
selettore "P") e ruotare il selettore in senso orario fino a portare la freccia in corrispondenza della
posizione "VIDEO". Questa è la configurazione della testa predisposta in fabbrica.

UTILIZZO DELLA TESTA
La testa si sblocca ruotando la ghiera "Q" all'indiettro e si blocca ruotando la ghiera "Q" in
avanti.
Sbloccare la testa per posizionare la fotocamera/videocamera come richiesto per la ripresa,
quindi bloccarla in posizione per avere la migliore stabilità.

INTRODUCTION
Grâce à sa rotule ball hybride unique, ce trépied convient à la fois aux applications photo et
vidéo numériques.
Le trépied est extrêmement compact et léger et donc facile à ranger et à emporter partout avec
soi.

PRÉPARATION

Déverrouillez la rotule en tournant la roulette "Q" vers l'arrière.
Ecartez les 3 jambes du trépied. Pour régler la hauteur du trépied, vous pouvez déployer les
sections télescopiques des jambes en déverrouillant les leviers de blocage "A" situés sur les
bagues "B". Une fois votre trépied à la hauteur souhaitée, bloquez les jambes à l'aide des
leviers "A". Déployez les sections des jambes dans l'ordre (section la plus fine en dernier)

jusqu'à atteindre la hauteur souhaitée. En déployant d'abord les sections les plus larges, vous
obtiendrez une meilleure stabilité du trépied.

RÉGLAGE DE LA HAUTEUR DE LA COLONNE CENTRALE
La colonne centrale permet de régler avec précision la hauteur finale souhaitée, ou d'atteindre la
hauteur maximale possible lorsque c'est absolument nécessaire.
Pour libérer la colonne centrale "D", déverrouillez le bouton "E" et ajustez la colonne centrale à
la hauteur souhaitée.

RETRAIT DU PLATEAU DE LA ROTULE
Pour retirer le plateau "H", poussez le levier "I" vers l'avant et faites coulisser le plateau tel

qu'illustré à la figure 3.

FIXATION DU PLATEAU À UN APPAREIL PHOTO OU UN CAMÉSCOPE
Retirez d'abord le capuchon "Z".
Fixez votre caméscope ou votre appareil photo sur le plateau "H" (fig. 4) en vissant la vis "M"
dans le taraudage du boîtier en utilisant une pièce de monnaie. Prenez garde de ne pas trop

serrer la vis au risque d'endommager la base du caméscope/boîtier.

MONTAGE DU BOÎTIER/CAMÉSCOPE À LA ROTULE
Faites coulisser le plateau "H" (fixé au boîtier ou caméscope) dans la rotule (fig. 5) de façon à ce
que les queues d'aronde "N" soient correctement insérées. Vous devez entendre un "clic" du
levier "I" indiquant que le plateau est en place et verrouillé sur la rotule. Vérifiez que l'appareil
est solidement fixé avant de l'utiliser.
RETRAIT DU BOÎTIER
Lorsque vous devez retirer votre appareil photo ou caméscope de la rotule, tenez-le fermement
d'une main et de l'autre, poussez le levier "I" vers l'avant et faites coulisser le plateau avec
l'appareil vers l'arrière pour le désolidariser de la rotule.

RÉGLAGES DE LA ROTULE
ET
La rotule peut être utilisée pour des applications photo ou vidéo. Pour des applications vidéo
telles que des mouvements panoramiques (pour suivre un sujet en mouvement ou pour filmer un
paysage en panoramique par exemple), il faudra s'assurer que le caméscope ne risquera pas de
s'incliner d'un coté ou de l'autre. Cette rotule présente donc un réglage permettant de bloquer
le mouvement panoramique sur un seul axe. Pour des applications photo, il faudra au contraire
pouvoir incliner l'appareil dans toutes les directions (comme avec une rotule ball classique
ou une rotule «Joystick» Manfrotto) afin de pouvoir cadrer le sujet comme bon vous semble
et utiliser l'appareil en format "portrait". Pour cela, tournez la molette "P" (fig. 6) dans le sens
inverse des aiguilles d'une montre de façon à ce que la flèche indique la position "PHOTO".
REMARQUE
Lorsque vous devez passer du mode photo au mode vidéo, assurez-vous d'abord que la
poignée "W" est placée tel qu'illustré à la figure 7, puis tournez la molette "P" dans le sens des
aiguilles d'une montre de façon à aligner la flèche avec la position "VIDEO". La rotule est livrée
en position vidéo.

UTILISATION DE LA ROTULE
La rotule est déverrouillée en tournant la roulette "Q" vers l'arrière et est verrouillée en tournant
la roulette "Q" vers l'avant. Débloquez la rotule pour placer votre appareil photo ou caméscope
dans la position souhaitée et rebloquez-la avant de commencer les prises de vues.

AUFSTELLUNG
Lösen Sie den Kopf indem Sie das Drehrad "Q" nach hinten drehen.
Öffnen Sie die drei Stativbeine. Zur Höheneinstellung verfügt jedes der Beine über ausziehbare
Segmente, die durch Öffnen des Hebels "A" am Klemmring "B" gelöst werden können. Ist die
gewünschte Höhe erreicht, klemmen Sie Hebel "A".Öffnen Sie die Beinsegmente von oben nach
unten (das dünnste zuletzt), um die gewünschte Aufstellhöhe zu erreichen.
Eine Beschränkung auf die stärkeren Segmente erhöhte die Standsicherheit des Stativs.

HÖHENEINSTELLUNG DER MITTELSÄULE
Durch Ausziehen der Mittelsäule ist eine Feineinstellung möglich. Alternativ kann damit die
Aufstellungshöhe vergrößert werden, wenn dies absolut nötig ist. Zum Lösen der Mittelsäule "D"
öffnen Sie den Drehknopf "E" und passen die Höhe der Mittelsäule wie gewünscht an. Fixieren
Sie die Mittelsäule an dieser Stelle durch Festdrehen des Drehknopfes "E".

ABNEHMEN DER KAMERAPLATTE VOM KUGELKOPF
Zum Abnehmen von Platte "H" drücken Sie den Sicherungshebel "I", während Sie die Platte
gemäß Abb. 3 herausschieben.

FÜR EINE STEHBILDKAMERA BZW: EINEN CAMCORDER
Entfernen Sie die Kappe "Z".
Bewahren Sie ihn für eventuelle spätere Verwendung an einem sicheren Ort auf. Sichern Sie den
Camcorder bzw. die Kamera auf der Platte "H" (Abb. 4), indem Sie die
Anzugsschraube "M" in die Stativbuchse der Kamera schrauben. Fixieren Sie die Schraube mit
einer Münze. Vermeiden Sie jede Gewaltanwendung, um die Bodenplatte der Kamera bzw. des
Camcorders nicht zu beschädigen!

AUFSETZEN DER KAMERA BZW. DES CAMCORDERS AUF DEN KUGELKOPF
Schieben Sie Kamera und Platte "H" unter Druck nach unten auf den Kugelkopf (Abb. 5), so
dass sie sicher in die Schwalbenschwanzführung "N" eingreift. Schieben Sie die Platte nach
vorn, bis der Sicherungshebel "I" nach oben schnappt und die Platte verriegelt. Vergewissern
Sie sich vor den Aufnahmen, dass die Kamera sicher fixiert ist.
ABNEHMEN DER KAMERA
Zum Abnehmen der Kamera vom Kugelkopf halten Sie diese fest in einer Hand, drücken Hebel
"I" mit der anderen und schieben die Kamera samt Wechselplatte nach hinten vom Kugelkopf.

KOPFEINSTELLUNG
UND
Der Kugelkopf eignet sich sowohl für Stehbild- als auch Video-Aufnahmen. Der wesentlichste
Unterschied besteht darin, dass beim Videofilmen eine seitliche Neigung unerwünscht ist,
damit saubere Horizontalschwenks (z.B. zur Objektverfolgung oder zum Einfangen eines
weiten Panoramas) möglich werden. Hierfür verfügt der Kugelkopf über eine Einstellung, in
der Horizontalschwenks auf nur eine Achse beschränkt sind. Für Stehbildaufnahmen hingegen
ist die freie Bewegung in allen Achsen erwünscht, so, wie sie mit normalen Kugelköpfen oder
mit Manfrotto Action-Griff-Kugelköpfen möglich ist, damit eine bequeme Ausschnittwahl und
Umschaltung auf Hochformat möglich wird. Hierfür genügt es, Knopf "P" (Abb. 6) nach links zu
drehen, so dass der Pfeil auf "PHOTO" steht.
ANMERKUNG
Wenn Umstellung von Foto auf Video erforderlich wird, vergewissern Sie sich bitte zunächst,
dass sich der Handgriff "W" in der in Abb. 7 gezeigten Stellung befindet. Drehen Sie Knopf "P"
im Uhrzeigersinn, bis der Pfeil auf "VIDEO" zeigt. Dies ist die Stellung, in der sich der Stativkopf
bei der Auslieferung befinden sollte.

BEDIENUNG DES KUGELKOPFES
Der Kopf wird durch zurückdrehen des Drehrades "Q" gelöst und mittels vorwärtsdrehen des
Drehrades "Q" fixiert.
Lösen Sie die Kopfklemme vor der Aufnahme zur Ausrichtung der Kamera und klemmen Sie vor
der Auslösung zur Ausschaltung von Verwacklungsunschärfe.
