mode.

Press [4 4 4 4 4 /REW/ g] or [3 3 3 3 3 /FF/ f] during play.
Press the button once for each track to be skipped (up to 9 tracks).
Backward

Note
TPS searches for silent parts of about 4 seconds normally found
PLAY
between tunes. As a result, it may not function properly in the
FWD
following cases.
• With short silent parts.
• When noise occurs between tunes
• With silent parts found within tunes

Before recording

Types of tapes which can be recorded correctly
The system automatically identifies the type of tape.
NORMAL POSITION/TYPE I
HIGH POSITION/TYPE II
METAL POSITION/TYPE IV
This system cannot correctly record or erase metal position tapes.

Erasure prevention
The illustration shows how to remove the tabs to prevent recording.
To record on the tape again, cover as shown, being careful not to
cover the high position discrimination hole.
The effect of volume, sound quality, and
sound virtualizer on recording.
These have no effect on recording.
They can be changed for playback.
D
To erase a recorded sound
1 1 1 1 1 Press [STOP L].
2 2 2 2 2 Press [REV MODE] on the remote control to select the reverse
mode.
3 3 3 3 3 Insert the cassette with the exposed tape facing left.
