3. Press out rotor.
4. Remove spacer ring from rotor shaft.
Notes: Protect the threads of the rotor from damage prior to pressing. Always replace the drive end bearing if
the rotor has been pressed out. Therefore, only remove the rotor if;
•
the rotor is to be replaced
•
the excitation winding of the rotor is to be replaced
•
the drive end bearing/spacer ring is to be serviced
•
the rotor collector rings are to be replaced
