Maintenance
- Once a year, dismantle, carefully wash and grease all the moving parts of the windlass.
- Regularly grease the supply terminals of the electric motor of the windlass and of the relay control box.

Emergency anchoring procedure

In the event of an electrical fault, it is possible to lower the anchor manually: Put the handle in the space provided to
release the chain sprocket. Let the chain run out using the handle to control the speed as it runs.

The handle serves only to release the chain
sprocket in order to lower the anchor manually
should the electric windlass break down.
The handle cannot be used to raise the anchor
manually.
- Before anchoring check the depth of water,
the power of the current and the nature of the
sea bed.
- Check the swing radius once the boat is at
anchor.
- After each trip rinse the windlass and anchor
chain or rope with fresh water.
