English Before first use Mounting the side brushes Unpack the side brushes. Push the side brushes onto the shafts on the bottom of the robot (Fig. 7). Note: Make sure you attach the side brushes properly. Press them onto the shaft until you hear them lock into position with a click.

English Using your robot Preparing for cleaning Before you switch on the robot, clear the floor of loose objects such as toys, magazines and shoes. Remove mains cords, wires and the pull cords of curtains or blinds from the floor. Remove the small plug from the socket on the robot if it is still inserted (Fig. 15). Note: The robot does not operate when it is connected to the mains. Therefore, always disconnect the adapter from the robot and the mains before use. Note: Always store the adapter in a safe place before you switch on the robot. Make sure the dust container is empty and the filter is properly installed.

English Indicator signals and their meaning The robot has a display with three indicators: the battery indicator, the dust compartment indicator and the warning indicator. English If the filter is dirty, clean it with a brush with soft bristles (e.g. a toothbrush) (Fig. 23). Put the filter back into the dust container. Then place the lid on the dust container (Fig. 24). Put the dust container back into the dust container compartment (Fig. 25). Slide the dust container compartment cover back onto the robot until it locks into position. Caution: Always make sure the filter is present inside the dust container. If you use the robot without the filter inside the dust container, the motor will be damaged. Cleaning the suction opening, the wheels and the drop-off sensors After some time, dust and fluff can accumulate around the suction opening, the wheels and the drop-off sensors in the bottom of the robot.

English Replacement Replacing the filter Replace the filter if it can no longer be cleaned properly. Make sure the on/off switch is in ‘off’ position. Remove the dust container from the robot (see steps 2 to 4 of chapter ‘Cleaning and maintenance’, section ‘Emptying and cleaning the dust container’). Carefully lift the lid off the dust container and remove the old filter. Empty the dust container (Fig. 32). Place the new filter in the dust container and place the lid on the dust container (Fig. 33). Put back the dust container and the dust container compartment cover (see steps 10 and 11 of chapter ‘Cleaning and maintenance’, section ‘Empying and cleaning the dust container’). Replacing the side brushes Replace the side brushes after some time to ensure proper cleaning results. Note: Always replace the side brushes when you notice signs of wear.
