Before the end of the programme
In all drying programmes, the heating phase follows a cool-
down phase of approx. 5 to 10 minutes. If the washing is not
removed after the end of this phase, the appliance runs through
an automatic anti-crease phase of approx. 30 minutes. The
control lamp KNITTERSCHUTZ flashes. Operation ends after
this phase.
Programme end
At the end of the drying cycle (before the automatic anti-crease
phase), several beeps sound; the appliance then goes into
standby mode.The programme control lamp is continuously lit.
Switching off
• Switch off the appliance by pressing the On/Off button
• Clean the lint filter as described in "Cleaning".
• To prevent unpleasant odours and to better maintain the
door seal, open the appliance door slightly until the next
drying cycle.
• Disconnect the power supply if the appliance is out of use
for long periods.

Tips for Energy saving

To save energy and to protect the environment, we recommend
that you follow the tips below:
• Use the maximum capacity of the respective drying pro-
gramme.
• Select the drying programme according to the type of
washing and the required level of dryness.
• Do not overdry the washing. This preserves your washing,
prevents creasing, and saves energy.
• Clean the filter regularly in order to prevent excessive dry-
ing and high energy consumption.
• Ventilate the room well. The room temperature should not
exceed 35°C.

Cleaning

WARNING:
• Before cleaning or maintenance work, the device should
always turn off and disconnect the mains plug or switch
off the fuse.
Before you contact an authorized specialist.
The following problems can be solved by you by checking for the possible cause.
Problem
The appliance does not function/start.
The housing is hot or there is a smell of
burning.

WARNING:
• Allow the unit to cool down before cleaning.
• Do not uses steam cleaners for cleaning the device;
moisture could enter electrical components. Risk of elec-
tric shock! Hot steam could damage the plastic parts.
The device must be dry before restarting operation.
CAUTION:
Do not use a wire brush or other sharp, abrasive items.
Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaners.
Cleaning the appliance housing
Clean the housing and the panel with a mild detergent or soapy
water and dry with a soft cloth.
Cleaning the door and drum
Clean the inside of the door and the drum regularly with a cloth,
approx. every three months, in order to remove dirt or fibres.
Cleaning the lint filter
The lint filter catches all fibres which accumulate during drying.
Clean the filter before or after each drying cycle.
• Pull the filter up to remove it.
• Wipe off the filter by hand, if necessary use a damp cloth or
clean the filter under running water.
• Dry the filter thoroughly and replace it correctly.
CAUTION:
If the filter is not cleaned regularly, it may damage the
dryer.
Never use the appliance without the inserted filter!
A wrong or improperly performed repair brings danger to the
user.
Repairs to electrical appliances must only be carried out by an
authorized specialist. A damaged power cord must be changed
only by a qualified electrician.

Troubleshooting

Cause/action
- Check the power supply.
- Is the appliance switched on or a programme selected?
- Have you pressed the START/PAUSE button?
- Check the maximum capacity guidelines.
- The lint filter is blocked and must be cleaned.
- Is the extractor hose or the vent blocked?
