Model ACH082 ONLY
Use of the heat settings on this model activates a reverse cycle operation that works as a heat pump.
It changes the operating mode of the refrigeration system to provide supplemental
heat for chilly days
and evenings. When raising the thermostat in this heating mode, the compressor (motor) may shut off.
When the compressor is turned off with either the fan speed control or the thermostat control, wait 2-3
minutes before restarting the air conditioner
or turning the compressor back on. This should prevent
blowing a fuse or tripping a circuit breaker. Use of this feature is not recommended
when the
outslde temperature
is below 45°F.
Using the Exhaust Control
This control setting can be used to draw stale or smoky air from the room or to circulate air in the
room, without cooling or heating. NOTE: Make sure the exhaust vent control Is returned to the
CLOSED sefflng when cooling, heating or room alr circulation

Set EXHAUST VENT control to OPEN.

If cooling is desired, set FAN SPEED
CONTROL to desired COOL setting.

If cooling or heating is not required, set
FAN SPEED CONTROL to FAN ONLY.
2. To circulate
room air:
l
Set EXHAUST VENT control to CLOSED.
l
If cooling is desired, set FAN SPEED
CONTROL to desired COOL setting.
l
If heating is desired, set FAN SPEED
CONTROL to desired HEAT setting.
l
If cooling or heating is not required, set
FAN SPEED CONTROL to FAN ONLY.
