In the event of the Bellavita not working, the following steps should be taken.
Please follow the steps below to attempt a remedy:
1. Test the PCB board. To do this:
i.
Ensure the handset is switch off by pressing the red button.
ii.
Hold down the UP and DOWN together.
iii.
Whilst they are pressed down, press the ON button and release all buttons.
iv.
The LED should light orange and flash.
v.
Press the UP button and you should hear a click.
vi.
Press the DOWN button and you should not hear a click
vii.
If the handset does not behave as described above then a PCB fault is present.
viii.
OPTIONAL: If you press the DOWN and ON button together, the bathlift will
lower even if the red light is showing (assuming handset is working correctly).
2. Try to reset the handset. Repeat step 1 twice to reset the handset.
3. If the fault is still present after steps 1 and 2 then check the bathlift operation with
another Bellavita handset. If the bathlift still does not work then this is likely to be a fault
with the Bathlift backrest, and will require replacement from Drive Medical. If Bathlift is
stuck partially or fully upright, follow the attached instructions to disassemble the
backrest. If the handset works with the alternative handset, replace the faulty handset.
