PEN CHARGING This display includes a rechargeable pen stylus for pen input. The pen stylus must be charged before use. Carefully remove the pen stylus and the pen charger from the plastic packaging. Checking Charge Status 1. Tap the tip on a desk or other surface to turn the pen on. 2.
WINDOWS DRIVER INSTALLATION IMPORTANT: The drivers should be installed before connecting the Drawing Display to your computer! 1. Prior to installing the driver, uninstall any pen or tablet software and drivers that you may have previously used on this computer. Multiple pen/tablet drivers will cause a conflict and unexpected operation.

6. If you want to install to a directory other than the default, click the Change button and locate the desired installation directory. Otherwise, click the Next button to continue. 7. Click the Install button to begin the driver installation. 8.

HARDWARE INSTALLATION This installation process assumes you will be using the included angle adjustment bracket. If you will be mounting the monitor to a wall or desk bracket, follow the instructions that came with your bracket, replacing steps 3-4 below. This monitor features a 75x75 VESA mounting pattern.
WINDOWS 7 BASIC SETUP 1. If this is part of a multi-monitor setup, right-click on the desktop to access the menu. Select the Screen Resolution entry. If not, skip ahead to step 3. 2. Using the following dialog, drag the monitors to the relative positions you desire. Note that if you want to use the Windows Tablet Input Panel, which allows you to use the pen stylus instead of typing, you must make the Drawing Display the Main Display.

3. Click the Start menu, then click the Control Panel entry. 4. If your Control Panel display resembles the following, click the View By: Category link and select Small Icons 5. Click the Tablet PC Settings option.

6. If the monitor is installed and operating properly, the details section of the Tablet PC Settings dialog will indicate "Pen and Touch Input Available", as shown in the following image. If the Reset... button is NOT grayed out, click it to clear any previous calibration data.

9. Click the Setup button in the Tablet PC Settings dialog again. 10. This time, click the Touch input selection. 11. Once again, both screens turn white and the following text appears. If the text is NOT on the drawing display, press the ENTER key to move the text to the other screen.

13. Click the Pen input selection. 14. The drawing display's screen will turn white and the following text will be displayed. Note the parallel blue lines at the top, bottom, and on each side of the screen. The intersections of these lines are the calibration points. A black crosshair appears on the upper leftmost intersection.

17. This time, click the Touch input selection. 18. Once again, the screen will turn white and the following text will be displayed. Using your finger, carefully tap the center of the crosshairs for each of the 16 calibration points. 19.

21. Depending on which hand you use to draw, click the radio button next to either the Right-handed or Left-handed entry. Click OK to save your settings. 22. Your drawing display is now installed, calibrated, and ready for use!
WINDOWS 7 ADVANCED SETUP To get maximum functionality from the drawing display, you may want to use some of the pen and touch features built into Windows 7, such as the Tablet PC Input Panel, which allows you to convert your handwriting into typed text. If you wish to enable this feature, perform the following steps, otherwise skip this section.

3. Wait for the changes to complete. 4. You may be prompted to restart your computer. If so, close all open programs, then click the Restart Now button. 5. Once your computer has restarted, click the Start menu, then click the Control Panel entry.
7. Use this dialog to control the behavior of various pen and touch features, such as how quickly you have to double-tap to register a double-click action and how long you have to hold your finger on the display to register a right-click action. Click the OK button when you are finished.
THE ON-SCREEN DISPLAY (OSD) MENU The OSD menu allows you to adjust various monitor settings. To access the OSD menu, press the M button when no other menus or controls are being displayed. The OSD menu consists of five pages of preference settings. The title of each page is at the top of the dialog and the current video resolution is displayed at the bottom.
Picture Menu Note that the Picture Menu is only available when using a VGA input. Clock: Allows adjustment of the monitor's Clock frequency. On a grey test screen, an incorrect Clock setting will manifest itself as large vertical lines and the display may have an incorrect width.
Color Menu Color Temperature: Allows you to select a fixed color temperature value (6500K, 7500K, or 9300K) or select the User setting to allow adjustment of the individual Red, Green, and Blue levels. Red: When the Color Temperature is set to User, you can edit the red level in the image.
OSD Settings Menu Horizontal: Adjusts the horizontal position of the OSD menu on screen. The adjustment range is from 0 to 100. Vertical: Adjusts the vertical position of the OSD menu on screen. The adjustment range is from 0 to 100. Transparency: Adjusts how opaque or transparent the OSD menu will appear on screen.
Setup Menu Language: Allows selection of the language to use in the OSD menu. The available options are English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Korean, and Chinese. The default is English. Input: Allows selection of which video input to use, VGA, DVI, or HDMI. Reset: Resets the monitor to its default settings.

TROUBLESHOOTING Problem: There is no picture on the screen and none of the LEDs are illuminated. Solutions: 1. Verify that the AC adapter is properly plugged into the monitor and an AC power source. 2. Verify that the AC power source is live by plugging a different device into it. Problem: The power LED is illuminated, but there is no picture on the screen.
