Heating cable testing and maintenance
Make sure that gutter and downspouts are free
of leaves and other debris prior to the winter
season.
Using a 2500-Vdc megohmmeter (2500 Vdc
minimum), unplug the Gardian and test the
unit by checking the insulation resistance
between the flat blade and the ground pin in
the plug. Minimum reading should be 1000

megohms, inspect heating cables and
insulation for signs of damage.
