Step 7:
Once you have removed the tab on the left side you then will need to
modify the right side. The red dotted lines in Fig. 14 show approximately
what is recommended to removed. In Fig. 17 the picture shows some rough
pencil marks used to indicate what will be removed. On the next page in
Fig. 18 the right side is shown with the modification completed. Notice that
the bottom left tab and the bottom right tabs are now approximately the
same width. Also notice all of the material is removed flush with the right
side wall.
Removing all of the material is not necessary and you could make the cut fit
exactly to the LCD however the process is just simplified by removing the
material as shown in Fig. 18. Be sure not to cut the screw holes as they are
used to screw the new LCD back into place.
