air in spay. The maintenance activities should be entrusted to a person having suitable
qualifications or technical skills, or commission to the technical service.
Among the maintenance activities, that are in the scope of the authorized service's
responsibility, is – during each visit at the client's place – to precisely clean the thermal head
and the rubber roll of the paper transport in the printing mechanism, as well as to clean the
whole paper feeding path. Clean ethyl spirit or technical spirit (isopropanol) should be used for
cleaning.
The recommended frequencies of the maintenance activities should be increased in case the
cash register is installed in an environment with higher pollution or dustiness.
Note: Neglecting the current and periodic maintenance activities may lead to damaging the cash
register through the fault of the user and may result in the loss of warranty rights.
You can check if the printer mechanism has been cleaned correctly by the printout quality
(legibility) as well as by a smooth paper feed-out while printing (with no paper jams or
slipping). The spaces between the lines printed on the paper should be equal and parallel.
You can make a test by starting the printer test in the service functions.
