3. Repeat this step until you have loosened the soil to the required depth.
4. The soil is now open to air and water. Nutrients can penetrate the soil and
rejuvenate.
5. For harrowing move the soil aerator slowly backwards and forwards in the
soil along the seeding line. This way the soil can be prepared very easily and
efficiently for seeding and planting.
Using - Weeding
Weeds handicap the growing process of your plants. It is important to remove
weeds regularly to allow your plants to thrive.
1. Switch on the soil aerator.
2. Push the prongs down onto the weed you want to remove and press down
the weed slightly into the soil.
3. Pull the soil aerator towards you.
4. Remove the soil aerator from the soil again and
repeat this step on all other weeds in the garden
until you have removed the weeds and their
roots.
5. All you have to do then is to gather together and
dispose of the weeds you have removed from
the ground.
The Westfalia soil aerator also can be used to scarify soil in order to manure
and compost your patches efficiently.

Cleaning and Care

If lumps of earth or plants are stuck in the prongs while working, turn the unit
off first. Hold it just above the ground and then start the engine for a moment.
The blockage can be cleared by the movement of the prongs.
Should it be necessary to loosen the dirt by hand, always first disconnect the
power cord for your safety.
Before undertaking any work on the unit, always pull the power plug.
Use a stiff brush and a dry cloth to clean the unit; do not use aggressive
chemicals or abrasives to clean the unit.
Do not allow liquids of any kind to enter the unit.
