Installation advice
The relevant accident prevention regulations must be observed!
Switch contacts of category AC-3 in accordance with IEC 60947-4-1 must be used for switching the
motor and the brake connections.
The types of leads and their cross sectional areas must be selected in accordance with the relevant
regulations. The rated currents and the type of circuit can be found on the identification plate of the
motor. The operator details must agree with the connection values.
If operating the equipment with electronic control devices, the relevant commissioninginstruc-
tions and circuit diagrams must be observed!
Initial operation:
During initial operation, check that:

the operator doesn't make excessive noise
If you hear any unusual noise, stop the door operator at once and inform customer services.
Also switch off the operator if the equipment loses oil.
To ensure efficient support if faults occur, the following information will be required:

state the data shown on the identification plate of the door operator
3.
describe the type and extent of the malfunction
4.
state when and under which conditions the malfunction occurred
5.
state wether the operator is affected by fluctations in the rotational speed or other
noticeable problems

Electrical connection

Before you install any electricity cables or control equipment, it is imperative that you observe all the
following specifications and warnings. Non-compliance with these specifications and warnings can result
in serious injuries or damage to the door operator.
Only trained „Chamberlain" technicians may open the control unit housing of the door operator. Please
contact Chamberlain if required.
Before the electrical installation or initial operation of the operator, please check the circuit diagram and
connection information carefully. All cabling work must be carried out in accordance with the locally
applicable regulations.
Before carrying out any servicing works to the door operator, you must first switch off the power supply/
power transmission at the mains switch. After completion of the servicing work, the area must be cleared
and secured before operating the door again for the first time.
Please contact your local Chamberlain dealer if you require any
further accessories or spare parts.
