The OSPREY ALPRIDE E1 AIRBAG SYSTEM uses 2 x AA batteries. The OSPREY ALPRIDE E1 AIRBAG SYSTEM has no Li-Ion / Li-Po battery,
no gas cartridges under pressure and no pyrotechnic trigger.
The OSPREY ALPRIDE E1 AIRBAG SYSTEM has no restrictions for traveling and shall not be considered a dangerous good as defined by the
Dangerous Goods Regulations.
There are absolutely no restrictions for traveling with the OSPREY ALPRIDE E1 AIRBAG SYSTEM. To avoid any misunderstanding with airport
security agents, we recommend announcing to the airlines that you are traveling with an electrical avalanche airbag WITHOUT a battery. The
OSPREY ALPRIDE E1 AIRBAG SYSTEM has a pressure relief valve system.

MALFUNCTION TROUBLE SHOOTING
1- Is the E1 on? –> Check LED
The airbag doesn't inflate 2- Are the SuperCapacitors charged enough (LED orange or green)?
when pulling trigger. 3- Is the auto-test OK? –> Check LED
The SuperCapacitors are not charged enough to run the motor.
The auto-test doesn't work.

The auto-test is KO –> The compressor cover was not closed well and some material is blocking the compressor wheel and

There might be any of the following reasons for the malfunction:
1- The airbag is rolled instead of properly folded
Airbag does not inflate fully. 2- There is webbing or something else covering and restraining the zipper
3- The deflation knob is blocked in the deflating position, preventing the non-return valve to close
properly
The system does not charge Make sure you are using brand new, premium quality alkaline or lithium AA / LR6 batteries.

Osprey avalanche backpacks comply with the provisions and safety requirements of the European Standard EN 16716: 2017 for
Mountaineering equipment – Avalanche airbag systems – Safety requirements and test methods.
All homologated backpacks are labeled with corresponding seals indicating they have passed the official tests. They are affixed in plain sight
and may not be removed.
WARRANTY*
Osprey Packs, Inc. will repair any damage or defect to the Osprey avalanche airbag backpack for any reason free of charge during the first
five years from the date of manufacture. If we are unable to perform a functional repair on your Osprey avalanche airbag pack, we will
happily replace it.
*Warrenty excludes Alpride E1 Airbag System
No repairs or replacements will be made on avalanche airbag backpacks after five years from its manufacture date. For any questions about
