2. Insert one or more wooden wedges between the log ram and the log (see
arrow mark on image I) and push down the log ram onto the log again.
Continue pushing down the foot pedal.
Releasing a jammed Log
1. Push back the log ram and attach it to the magnet to release a jammed log.
2. Insert one or more wooden wedges under the log and push down the log ram
onto the log. Repeat this process if the log does not release at the first time.
Keep your hands away from the vicinity of the log.
Do not try to release the log by hammering or striking with a tool onto it.
Maintaining Hints
Clean the log splitter thoroughly after each use.
Remove resin residues.
Use a fine file to sharpen the splitting wedge, if the
splitting output ratio becomes lower.
Secure the log splitter with the transport protection
during transport and storage.
Store the foot-operated log splitter indoors, fully
lowered, in a dry place that is protected from dust and
dirt.
