Troubleshooting
Problem
Abnormal vibration.
Broom does not stop when drive lever is
released.
Broom wears out prematurely.
Speed selector difficult to move or frozen in
place.
Possible Cause
1. Loose or damaged broom assembly
2. Engine mounting bolts are loose.
3. Loose engine pulley or idler pulley.
4. Engine pulley is damaged.
5. Belt is damaged.
6. Chains are not properly tensioned.
7. Material wrapped in bristles or debris
build-up.
1. Broom drive belt out of adjustment.
1. Incorrect broom height.
1. Hex shaft needs lubrication.

Corrective Action
1. Tighten hardware. Replace broom
assembly or contact an Authorized
Service Dealer.
2. Tighten the engine mounting bolts.
3. Tighten the appropriate pulley.
4. Contact an Authorized Service Dealer.
5. Install new belt.
6. See Drive Chain Tension Adjustment
in Adjustments section.
7. Clean broom and bristles.
1. Check broom drive adjustment.
1. Adjust broom height.
1. Lubricate hex shaft.
