With 'AF-MAN' selected, the unit
operates in a similar way to 'AF-
AUTO' or 'AF-ON', but only
searches for an alternative
frequency when prompted.
With 'AF-OFF' selected, the
original stored frequency remains
selected. In this mode, 'AF-OFF'
will be displayed every time the
unit is turned on.
Programme type selection (PTY)
(Not currently supported in
Australia)
This feature can be activated in
different ways on different units.
Turning PTY on or off
TA PTY
Press the PTY button.
Selecting similar programme
types
Activate PTY and, while PTY is
displayed, use the SEEK button to
locate other stations broadcasting
programmes of the same type.

Activate PTY and, while PTY is
displayed, use the rotary VOLUME
VOL ON/OFF
control to select another
programme type, then use SEEK to
locate a station broadcasting the
selected programme type.
