Installing the Handle

Parts needed for this procedure:
2 Oval-head bolt (5/16 x 1-1/2 inches)
2 Bolt (5/16 x 1-1/2 inches)
2 Spacer
4
Locknut (5/16 inch)
1 Cable tie
Procedure
1. Remove the 2 screws that hold the back cover in
place and remove the back cover (Figure 3).
2. Attach the handle to the deck of the machine
(Figure 4) using the 4 bolts, 4 locknuts, and 2 spacers
in the loose parts bag.

Oval-head bolt (5/16 x 1-1/2 inches)
Bolt (5/16 x 1-1/2 inches)

Locknut (5/16 inch)
Cable tie
SAE 30W detergent oil with an API
service classification of SH, SJ, SL, or
higher (not supplied with the mower)

2 Install the handle.

Note: You can set the handle height in one of two
positions (Figure 5). Set the handle to a height that is
comfortable for you.
