3. Remove the non-volatile dual in-line memory modules (NVDIMMs), if present. Otherwise, continue to
the next step.
a) Record the slot location of the NVDIMM you want to remove. Then, review and record the
locations where the backup power module (BPM) cable connects to the NVDIMM and to the BPM.
b) To unlock the NVDIMM from its connector, simultaneously push both of the locking tabs away
from the module in the direction that is shown in Figure 6 on page 8.
The lever action of the tabs pushes the NVDIMM out of the connector. If you find it hard to open
the tabs with your fingers, you may use the tips of ball point pens, or the eraser ends of pencils.
The levers must be opened simultaneously, so that the NVDIMM lifts straight up.
