The scale uses two 1.5V AAA batteries (supplied). These batteries are located internally and readily accessible. Remove the battery cover on the bottom of the scale to remove the batteries. The batteries must be disposed of at your local recycling point. Replacing the battery 1. Remove the battery cover. Insert the batteries into the battery compartment observing the correct polarity. 3. Attach the battery cover. OPERATION 1. Place the scale on a hard and very flat surface. Avoid carpet or soft surface. 2. After installing the batteries, the display will show “888.8” briefly then show “0.0”. 3.
