13. Notes about the recording function

Pre-Alarm video is recorded - this means that in each motion detection
recording the triggering motion appears a few seconds into the video.

Audio can be recorded only in Full screen mode (only one camera is
activated - see Camera Setup [54] "Camera On")
#
The capacity status of the SD card is shown on the screen [33]. When the
card is full a message "storage full" will appear on the screen, no more
recordings can be made. In this case replace the SD card or reformat the
card to delete the recordings ("Format Storage" - see chapter 12 : [59]).

The recorded video can be viewed on the monitor and also through a PC
using an SD card reader and a suitable player, eg. Quicktime.

14. Using the App

Notes:
#
To view using Internet
1. the monitor must be placed in the docking station
2. the router, with which the docking station is connected with the
network cable [14], must be connected with the internet.
To view using Intranet (router / switch is not necessarily connected to the
internet):
1. the monitor must be place in the docking station
2. the docking station must be connected via the network cable [14] to a
WiFi- router / switch
3. the tablet / smartphone must have WiFi connection to the home
network

The Device ID must be entered in the App on the smartphone /tablet, this
can be found on the label under the monitor stand [7] and also in the menu
under "Network Setup [58] / Network Information" (remove the monitor
temporarily from the docking station).

The switching between cameras and the speed of the video will be slower
(depending on the quality of internet connection).
Initial use of the App

Download the App „OMGuard" (see QR code on title page) free of charge
to your smartphone or tablet (iPad /iPhone: iOS 5 or higher; Android
smartphone /Tablet v2.3x or higher).

Launch the App „OMGuard".
!
Tap the button "Press to add new system".
!
The System Information will be displayed (see Fig. Da). Enter a name for
your system in the „System Name" field [65].
!
Enter the DID code (from the label on the monitor) in the „DID" field.
Alternatively tap „Search" [69] and if the DID code appears tap on this
number (iOS: also tap „JOIN") and it will be transferred to the „DID" field.

After selecting the language the monitor will switch off automatically. Switch on the monitor
(button x) and follow the instructions on the screen. The default settings are reactivated.

Enter the current security password into the „security code" field (default
password is 123456 – see Chapter 12, menu overview: Security code).

Confirm with „Save" [71] (Android: and again with „Yes").

Confirm with „OK".
The main side (see Fig. Db) is displayed. Top left the name of the system [72]
and „connected" [73] will appear.
If no connection is available („Disconnecetd" appears), then tap on „Refresh"
[79].
Activate PIN / Message upon motion detection / Information

Tap „ i " [80 - information].
!
In order to increase the access security of your system you can activate the
request for a PIN code to launch the App after each time your smartphone /
tablet is powered up:
!
Tap „Setup PIN Lock".
!
Enter the chosen PIN two times and a tick by "Enable lock when
starting".
Note: without the valid PIN it is not possible to connect to the camera after
switching on your mobile device. Note your PIN and keep in a safe place. If
you forget the PIN the App must be deleted and then reinstalled and the
required cameras set up fresh.

In order to send a message upon motion detection, to smartphones /
tablets which are connected to the monitor via the App, tick the field
„Notify enable" and confirm with „OK".This is required for Android
devices. For iOS the function must be set as follows:

Start the setting on the Home side of your iOS device.
!
Select "Notifications".
!
Scroll down to the "OMGuard" App and select this.
!
Set the buttons to " ON" (function activated).
Notes:

It can take up to 2 hours before this iOS function is activated by the
provider.
#
There may be a delay in receiving a message dependent on the
messaging service of the provider.

Tap „About" to check information about the App. To close this side tap
„OK".
!
To return to the main side tap „ i " [80] or „Close".
Add further sets
!
Tap [77] to enter "System Information" (see Fig. Da), you can add a total
of 6 sets per smartphone / tablet. Proceed as per section "Initial use of the
App". The systems will be displayed in order and can be viewed by
scrolling.
