Car W ash
Before washing your vehicle, re
move insect residues. The car
should not be washed in the sun.
Thoroughly spray the car w ith a
diffused jet o f w ater. Direct only a
very weak spray tow ards the ve nti
lation intake. Use plenty o f w ater
and rinse the sponge and chamois
frequently. Rinse w ith clear w ater
and thoroughly w ipe dry w ith a
chamois.
If the vehicle has been run through
an autom atic car wash — in
particular one o f the older instal
lations — rewipe the recessed
sections provided in the tail lamps
(for improved prevention o f soiling)
if necessary. No solvents (fuels,
thinners, etc.) m ust be used.
In the w inter, th orou g hly remove
all traces o f road salt as soon as
possible.
W hen washing the car underbody,
do not forget to clean the inner
sides of the wheels.
Tar Stains
Q uickly remove tar stains before
they dry and become more d iffic u lt
to remove.
W in d o w C leaning
Use a w in d o w cleaning solution on
very d irty or oil-stained w indow s.
Clean windshield w iper blades w ith
a clean cloth and washing solution.
Replace blades once or tw ice a
year.

Do not use oil or wax on these
parts.
Seat Belts
The w ebbing m ust not be treated
w ith chemical cleaning agents. Use
only clear, lukewarm w ater and
C leaning and Care of the Vehicle
soap. Do not dry the webbing at
tem peratures above 80° C /176° F
or in direct sunlight. Never bleach
or re-dye the w ebbing.
Steering W heel, Gear S hift
Lever and In s tru m e n t C luster
Use a gentle dish-washing deter
gent or mild detergent for delicate
fabrics as a washing solution. W ipe
w ith a cloth moistened in luke
warm solution. Do not use scour
ing agents.
U pholstery
Leather: W ipe leather upholstery
w ith a damp cloth and dry th o r
oughly. Exercise particular care
w hen cleaning perforated leather
as its underside should not become
w et.
