For this purpose it converts the DC voltage of the batteries into grid-compliant AC voltage. If required, reactive power can be provided. To charge the batteries from the grid the inverter operates as a controlled rectifier.

This must be able to securely switch off the short-circuit current of the battery under fault conditions.

Requirements: • Product operates with a supply voltage of 230 V /50Hz/TN-grid. • Supply lines must be connected and secured by means of a 16 A miniature circuit breaker with tripping characteristic B or a 16 A fuse with tripping characteristic gG.

The connection is provided as potential-free feedback contact. Mode of operation of the insulation monitoring device: If the measured value of the insulation resistance drops below the set threshold value, the output relays switch into the fault state.

Measure the DC voltage from plus to minus connection at the DC circuit breaker inside the product (Figure 22). When all possible errors are eliminated, the Enable switch may be pulled out. The product restarts operation after the Enable switch has been pulled out and the product has been reset by means of the higher-level control.
