To measure the temperature with the built-in temperature sensor, the HARS-T03.xx
room operating unit must be installed in a location suitable for room temperature
measurement.
Heat sources result in false temperature measurements. Ensure a minimum distance of
1.5 m from lamps and heaters-radiators and also a distance from Fan coil unit air flow.
If the sensor is in an unsuitable location, the measured value can be corrected with a
temperature offset. The correction can be undertaken with the HOTEL AUTOMATION
ROOM SYSTEM SOFTWARE.
• The HARS-T03.xx room operating unit should be mounted at eye level in the living
area of the hotel room (apprx 1.5m).
• Lamps and other heat sources in the vicinity of the room temperature sensor must
not be allowed to influence the measured temperature. The room unit with the built-in
temperature sensor is not suitable for mounting within reach of the bed, for example,
because items such as bedside lamps can cause too much heat and increase the
measured temperature.
• Conduits must be sealed where they enter wall boxes, so that draughts does not
falsify the temperature.
• To remove the device, it must be unscrewed from the wall together with the base-
frame.
• The RJ45 connector enables simple plugging the cable with adequate RJ45
connector terminated on flat telephone cable (8x0,14mm
• The device is intended for fixed installation in a dry, enclosed space.
• For installation in a 3-module mounting box.
• Must be mounted horizontally only, with the front plate vertical
• Do not install AC 230 V devices in the same mounting box
• Commissioning must be carried out by trained personnel only
• Do not open the unit
• Local safety and installation regulations must be observed
To operate devices connected to the same room controller attention should be paid to
correctly connect flat telephone cables to room controller.
Flat telephone cable (or UTP) for HARS-T03.xx must not be mixed with flat cable for
HARS-RT.xx. Mixing those cables could cause HARS-T03.xx or room controller to
malfunction or even damage the device(s).
