Add Video

If given publishing permissions, you have the ability to
have permission to access. The folders to which you can add video are configured by your
system administrator. The folder list that you can add video to may also be different from the
folders that you can view content from. If you have WM or H.264 video content saved on
your PC, you can publish this content to the VOD server(s) using the
Content acquired by recording with VBrick StreamPlayer Plus or a VBrick VBStar will always
ingest and play at a consistent high quality; content acquired from third-party vendors or
elsewhere may not. You can add any of the stream types shown below in Table 8.
Note Internet Explorer 8 has standard security options that may prevent the Portal Server
"Add Video" function from working properly. If using Internet Explorer 8 as a
browser, you may have to re-configure one or more of the security options to
successfully ingest recorded video to a VOD server. For more information, see
"Security Recommendations for Internet Explorer 8" in the Portal Server Release Notes.
