Best Practices

It's always a good idea to test your audio, video, and slides locally before presenting to a live
audience. This can help identify problems in advance and provide your viewers with an
optimal viewing experience. For a successful presentation, there is no substitute for a
thorough walk-through that can anticipate and address potential issues—particularly with
your network. The best way to test what your viewers will actually see and hear is to have someone
view your presentation from a separate desktop using Internet Explorer. This will test the
presentation on your local network and/or over the public Internet and will provide a real-
world test of your multimedia presentation in a simulated production environment. A simpler
method is to self-test the audio and video using the
page. This is an easy way to check and adjust the audio and the video. When you click on the
viewer, a preview window opens and you can verify the audio and video quality and make
sure you are properly centered in the window.
Creating Polls
Polling is an interactive feature that lets you communicate with viewers and share the results.

questions and answers in advance, the polling form is automatically populated when you click

viewers must be online before a poll is initiated. Otherwise they will not see the poll.
To create a poll:
1. From the Presenter interface, click
2. Create a multiple choice poll by typing in the question (which becomes the name of the
poll) and the possible answers. You can also use the
poll. If importing, create a text file with the question on the first line and each of the four
possible answers on a separate line—do not use blank lines. Then
