Cables
The type of cable required for each port depends on the device being connected.
Note: Refer to the document Installation Guide: ProSafe Wireless Access Point for
information about specific power requirements.
• Direct connection to a POE-compatible device
This requires a 4- or 8-conductor Category 5 UTP Ethernet cable with an RJ-45 male
connector. A straight-through cable is required to preserve POE voltage polarity.
