Extension Cards

Installing an Extension Card

The battery pack is connected with the 2-pin male connector strip X19
situated at the connector panel on the upper side of the PC box. For this,
an unshielded cable with a cross section of at least 1.5 mm² is used. The
cable length is maximum 3.0 m.
Bosch Rexroth provides ready-made cables with a length of 1.0 m and
3.0 m.
To place extensions cards slots for PCI bus and ISA bus are available.
Corresponding to the PC box type according to section 4.1, "Technical
Data of the PC Box" a maximum of four PCI cards and one ISA card are
possible. The maximum permissible card length is 180 mm.

working with modules and components! Avoid

application software by integrating not-released
extension cards!
Install only released extension cards, and have them
CAUTION!
installed by skilled employees.
1. Disconnect the power supply. If required, unplug all connectors from
the IPC 40.2.
2. Wait until the power supply unit switches off automatically after UPS
operation (the UPS LED on the front panel of the IPC 40.2 flashes red
until the UPS switches off the power supply unit).
3. Now, unplug the battery cable (interface X19).
4. Remove the housing cover at the rear side. For this, only the
mounting screw at the side, at which the extension card slots are
situated, has to be loosened. Then, this part of the housing cover can
be removed.
