Rechargeable Battery Pack

Risk of data loss in the RAM during battery
exchange!
Before replacing the battery back up important data,
because
CAUTION!
breakdown might occur. Data in the RAM might be
lost.
The battery pack must be replaced in the following cases:
• The battery test fails during system startup.
• The number of charging cycles exceeds the value depending on the
ambient temperature and specified in the table below.
• The red LED "UPS" on the front panel flashes for longer than 8 hours.
A charging cycle is determined by switching the PC power supply unit on
and off. As long as the IPC 40.2 is connected to the supply system, a total
discharge of the battery pack is avoided.
The number of charging cycles of the battery pack and thus, its service
life is dependent on the ambient temperature, in which the battery pack is
used. Ambient temperature (surrounding air temperature) is defined as
the temperature, in which the IPC 40.2 and the battery pack is situated,
e. g. the internal temperature of the control cabinet or in an operator panel
housing.
The following table can be used as guideline:

Note:
The used batteries are recyclable and can be returned to
Bosch Rexroth after replacement. They must not be disposed
in the standard household refuse.
