6.6 BALANCING AND MONITORING - DISCHARGE

The processor monitors the individual cell voltage during «Storage Mode» and «Discharge»
of the lithium battery. The processor normalizes the voltages to be equal. To do this, the
battery balancing plug must be connected to the charger's balancing port.
If the voltage of one or more cells varies abnormally during the procedure, the process is
stopped with an error message. You can easily find out which cell is defective by pressing
the INC button when the error message is displayed.

7. NIMH / NICD - PROGRAM

These programs can be used to charge or discharge NiMH (Nickel-Metal-Hydride) or NiCd
(Nickel-Cadmium) batteries commonly used in R/C models. To change the displayed value,
press the START/ENTER key to make it blink, then change the value using the INC (+) OR DEC
(-) key.
To start the process, press the START/ENTER button for more than 3 seconds.
The discharge current value on the left side of the display
should not exceed 1C for maximum safety, the discharge cur-
rent ranges from 0.1 to 2.0A and the final voltage on the right
side should not be lower than the voltage level recommended
by the battery manufacturer to avoid deep discharge.
To start discharging, press the START/ENTER for more than 3
seconds.
This indicates the current status of the discharge. To stop the
discharge, press the BATT TYPE/STOP button once.
The processor has found that the voltage of one of the cells in
the lithium battery is too low.
In the example, the value of the third cell is not correct. The cell
is faulty, there is a break in the connection of the cable or plug.
