    5. INITIAL PARAMETER SET UP (User Setup) When first used, the charger will display the default values on the screen. Below is the sequence in which the various programs are displayed, which you can change as required. When you wish to change the value of a parameter in the program, press the Start/ ENTER key to make it flash on the screen, then change the value with the INC (+) OR DEC (-) key.
  • Page 9 5. INITIAL PARAMETER SET UP (User Setup) Here you define the maximum temperature that the battery can reach during charge/discharge. When the battery reaches this temperature during charging, the process is interrupted to protect the battery. When the battery is in a charge/discharge cycle process, the battery may become warm.

    5. INITIAL PARAMETER SET UP (USER SETUP) Press and hold the ENTER button for 3 seconds to restore the factory default setting. Here you have the current software version number and the charger identification number. 6. LITHIUM BATTERY (LILO-LIPO-LIFE-LIHV) PROGRAM Use these programs only to charge a lithium battery ( Lilo/LiPo/LiHV/LiFe) with a nominal voltage of 3.6V, 3.7V, 3.8V or 3.3V per cell, respectively.

6.1 LITHIUM BATTERY - CHARGING Here you can see the number of cells you have set up and the number of cells the processor detects. R: = the number of cells detected by the charger. S: = the number of cells that you set in the previous screen. If the two numbers are the same, you can start charging by pressing the START/ENTER button.
  • Page 12: Lithium Battery - Fast Charging

6.3 LITHIUM BATTERY - FAST CHARGING The charging current decreases as the process nears the end of charging of lithium batteries. To complete the charging process sooner, this program eliminates certain terms from the CV process. In fact, the charging current increases to 1/5 of the initial value to complete the process while normal charging increases to 1/10 during the CV process.

6.5 LITHIUM BATTERY - DISCHARGE The discharge current value on the left side of the display should not exceed 1C for maximum safety, the discharge cur- rent ranges from 0.1 to 2.0A and the final voltage on the right side should not be lower than the voltage level recommended by the battery manufacturer to avoid deep discharge.
