Protection of the environment and disposal
ENVIRONMENT!
Danger to the environment from incorrect handling of environmen-
tally hazardous substances!
If environmentally hazardous substances are handled incorrectly, particu-
larly if such substances are disposed of incorrectly, this could cause sig-
nificant damage to the environment.
Always observe the instructions given below when handling and dis-
posing of environmentally hazardous substances.
– If environmentally hazardous substances are inadvertently released
into the environment, take suitable measures immediately. If in doubt,
notify the competent municipal authorities of the damage and inquire
about suitable measures to be taken.
The following environmentally hazardous substances are used:
Batteries may contain recyclable materials and materials that could damage health and
the environment.
Do not allow batteries to come into contact with water, sewage systems, the ground or
domestic waste collection and ensure that they are recycled or disposed of by a specialist
company. Batteries must be collected separately and sent for recycling.
The lithium-ion batteries recommended in this manual are categorised as device batteries
and will therefore be taken back by device battery distributors and municipal collection
points.
Electronic components may contain recyclable components and components that could
damage the environment. Have electronic components recycled or disposed of by author-
ised specialist disposal companies only.
Recycling
Insofar as there is no take-back agreement or disposal agreement in place, separate
waste according to material and send it for recycling:

Scrap metals.
n
Send plastic elements to be recycled.
n
Sort and dispose of the other components according to their material characteristics.
