This operating instruction (hereinafter referred to as “manual”) contains fundamental manual safety instructions for handling the VETTER SmartSupply (hereinafter also referred to as "SmartSupply"). Incorrect use of the SmartSupply can lead to serious injuries and mate- rial damage as a result of fires, for example. For this reason, this manual and especially the safety instructions/information contained therein must be read by the competent industrial truck driver prior to assembly, commissioning and maintenance.

The faultless function of the SmartSupply in variant BAT ultimately depends on the intact state of the SmartSupply battery. Independent modifications and repairs as well as damage or opening the battery casing could cause the battery to ignite suddenly and result in serious injuries.

Protective clothing Protective clothing is tight fitting workwear with low tensile strength, short sleeves and without any protruding parts.
All 18 V variants of the GBA series manufactured by Bosch can be used. Using batteries from other manufacturers is only permitted following con- sultation with VETTER Industrie GmbH Checking the battery’s charge level The batteries recommended for use generally have a button for showing the charge level via an LED display.
Commissioning Pairing NOTICE! Inserting the battery carefully In order to prevent injuries and material damage to the battery and SmartSupply, never use force to push the battery into the battery con- nection. Grip the battery securely and push it into the battery connection the correct way up from right to left until the battery clicks into place.
