Drain Systems

Deck Drains

• Water on the deck is drained overboard through the deck drains.
• Keep the deck drains free of debris.

Gray Water Gravity Sink Drains

The head sink and galley sink are above the waterline and are gravity drained overboard.

Sump Pump System

• The shower and air conditioner, if
equipped, drain into the sump pump box.
• The sump pump box has an autofloat
switch.
• When the drain water rises to a preset
level, the autofloat switch turns On the
sump pump, and the drain water is pumped
overboard.

Sump Box Cleaning

Periodically clean the sump box (A), filter, and pump as follows:
1. Remove the cover screws (B) and the cover (C).
2. Remove any debris from the box and the filter.
3. Clean the sump pump as outlined in the Bilge Pump section of
this chapter.

Sump System Winterization

Drain the sump pump system in the months when not in use.
1. Disconnect and drain all lines to the unit.
2. Remove the screws from the mounting feet (D) and drain
the system.
3. Reinstall the screws in the mounting feet and reconnect the system.
