Before choosing a location for your new phone, read the INSTALLATION
CONSIDERATIONS included in the PRECAUTIONS AND WARRANT Y INFORMATION
brochure. Here are some impor tant guidelines you should consider:
Avoid heat sources such as radiators,
air ducts, and sunlight
Avoid television sets and
other electronic equipment
Choose a central location
• The location should be close to both a phone jack and continuous power outlet.
• Keep the base unit and handset away from sources of electrical noise such
as microwave ovens, motors, or fluorescent lighting.
• Be sure there is suf ficient space to rotate the base unit antenna to a
ver tical position.
• After installing the battery pack in the handset, you should charge your handset
for 1 1 5 5 h h o o u u r r s s b b e e f f o o r r e e u u s s i i n n g g t t h h e e p p h h o o n n e e . Once the handset battery pack is fully
charged, connect the telephone line cord to the base and telephone wall outlet.
Avoid noise sources such as a window
by a street with heavy traffic
Avoid microwave ovens
Avoid excessive moisture,
extremely low temperatures, dust,
mechanical vibration, or shock
Avoid personal computers
Avoid other cordless telephones
A continuous power
outlet is an AC outlet
which does not have a
switch to interrupt its
power.
Do not place the power
cord in an area where
it may create a trip
hazard or become chafed
and create a fire or
electrical hazard.
