    Tone Dialing Switch-over Some telephone companies use equipment that require pulse dialing (sometimes referred to as rotar y dialing). If you need to enter tone dialing digits, you can switch-over to tone dialing during the call. An example of this could be entering your bank account number after you have called your bank.

    Selecting a Different Channel If you encounter interference while using your phone, you can manually change the phone´s channel for clear operation. Interference can come from appliances or other phones in your home. This function works only when the phone is in use.     Changing the Digital Security Code The digital security code is an identif ication code used to connect the handset and the base unit. Normally, setting the code is not necessar y. The f irst time you charge your handset, the security code is automatically set. (See page 4.) In the rare situation that you suspect another cordless telephone is using the same security code, you can change the code.
