Tone Dialing Switch-over Some telephone companies use equipment that require pulse dialing (sometimes referred to as rotar y dialing). If you need to enter tone dialing digits, you can switch-over to tone dialing during the call. An example of this could be entering your bank account number after you have called your bank.
Selecting a Different Channel If you encounter interference while using your phone, you can manually change the phone´s channel for clear operation. Interference can come from appliances or other phones in your home. This function works only when the phone is in use. The c c h h a a n n n n e e l l button on the handset allows you to choose between 35 factor y set channels.

Entering a Pause in Memory Dialing If you would like to use a phone number stored in memor y to access voice mail, for example, you can store a pause in the phone number sequence. To use this function, follow steps 1 and 2 in “Storing a Number in Memor y“, then press the p p a a u u s s e e button on the handset or press r r e e d d i i a a l l / / p p on the base to place a pause in the phone number sequence.

Changing the Digital Security Code The digital security code is an identif ication code used to connect the handset and the base unit. Normally, setting the code is not necessar y. The f irst time you charge your handset, the security code is automatically set. (See page 4.) In the rare situation that you suspect another cordless telephone is using the same security code, you can change the code.
