6. Initial use
The batteries are already inserted in new devices. Before first use, re-
move the protruding plastic insulating strip from the battery compart-
ment. The multi functional thermometer will then switch on automatically.
7. Basic settings
You can adjust the following basic settings on the multi functional ther-
mometer: Temperature unit (Celsius/Fahrenheit), date and time.
1. Press the ON/MEAS button

display. Use the S button to select the temperature
unit (°C or °F). Use the M button to confirm.

switches off.
Activating/deactivating the button tone
You can activate/deactivate a button tone on the device.
When the button tone is activated, a beep sounds every time a button
is pressed and after every measurement.
To activate the button tone, ensure that the device is switched on and
then briefly press the S button. The loudspeaker symbol
the display. To deactivate the button tone again, press the S button once
more. The loudspeaker symbol disappears from the display.
