MAINTENANCE
Steering Cable Inspection
1.
The handlebars and steering
nozzle
should
operate
smoothly. If movement is stiff
have your authorized Polaris
dealer service it.
2.
Turn the handlebars from lock
to lock and check to be sure
that the clearances between
the steering nozzle and the rear
hull are even on both sides. If
the alignment is not even, have
your authorized Polaris dealer
service it.
.020-.060" (.5-1.5 mm)
Throttle Cable lnspection
1.
Depress and release the throttle lever. It should return to its initial position
smoothly. If it does not, have your authorized Polaris dealer service it.
2.
Throttle lever free-play should not exceed .020"-.060" (.5-1.5 rnrn). If it does,
have it corrected by your authorized Polaris dealer.
Choke Cable lnspection
Pull the choke knob toward you to
make sure the choke cable operates
smoothly.
When the knob is pulled out the
choke valve is fully closed; when the
knob is pushed all the way in the
choke valve is fully open. There
should be minimal choke cable
slack. If the choke is not functioning
properly, have it serviced by your au-
thorized Polaris dealer.
