Before Shooting

≥ When shooting, make sure your footing is stable and there is no danger of
colliding with another person or object.
≥ Do not block the air inlet A or air outlet B of the cooling fan with your hands, etc.
≥ For stable images, it is recommended to use a tripod whenever possible.
∫ Mount on a tripod
Attach the tripod to the appropriate tripod mounting hole C.
≥ The tripod mounting hole E (depth: 10 mm (13/32 inch)) is for a 1/4-20UNC
screw, and the tripod mounting hole D (depth: 10 mm (13/32 inch)) is for a 3/8-
16UNC screw. Use the hole that matches the diameter of the tripod's fixing screw.
≥ Use of a tripod with a screw length longer than the screw hole depth of the
tripod mounting hole may cause damage to the unit.
When mounting in a high location
Use the tripod mounting hole to fix the unit firmly.
To prevent persons in the immediate vicinity from being struck in
the event that the unit comes off, attach the safety wire.
∫ Attach the safety wire
1 Attach the eyelet F of the safety wire (supplied) to the
unit.
≥ Use the M4 safety wire fixing screw (supplied) G to fix the wire
as illustrated.
2 Fix the plate H of the safety wire.
≥ Fix the safety wire to the foundation part of the building or
equivalent part with enough strength (with a min. pull-out
strength of 127 N {13 k
fixing screw (supplied) I into the hole J to fix the plate.
≥ The safety wire can also be looped around a sturdy object.
When doing so, loop the safety wire around the object first, and then
attach the wire to the unit.
≥ When fixing to something other than a tripod, pay attention to the following points.
j Use the tripod mounting hole to fix securely
j Do not block this unit air inlet, air outlet or built-in microphone with fixing parts
≥ If this unit is held as shown below, a heavy load will be applied to the cable and the terminal, which may cause damage.
Also, be careful as the cable may come off and this unit may fall or collide with the surrounding walls and be damaged.

