    Message Networking system. Notes: It is strongly recommended that you purchase an Avaya Professional Services offer to assist you with Message Networking system installation and initial administration. For more information, contact your sales representative.
  • Page 8 Tools and test equipment The following test equipment and tools are recommended for all new Message Networking installations. Test equipment Use the following test equipment when you install a system: A volt/ohm meter. Two telephones that are connected through the switch or Private Branch Exchange (PBX), if the Message Networking system requires analog.

    Installing the server in a rack-mount or stackable setup This topic provides information on setting up an S3400-H or S3210R server in a commercial cabinet in a rack- mount configuration or stacked on top of one another in a desktop configuration. The S3210 server is only supported in a tower configuration.
  • Page 33 1. Remove the rail assembly and screws from their packaging. Note: If more than one set of screws is provided, identify the set of 12 screws that fits the S3210R server hardware. Only one set of thick Philips round head screws fits tightly to the rails. Any other screws are not needed.
