6. Now fill the frying goods in the frying basket (3). The frying goods
preferably should be free from water.
7. Remove the lid (6) from the fryer and carefully put the frying basket into
the container. Pay attention, hot oil can spatter. If the oil is bubbling with
ascending foam, carefully raise and lower the frying basket.
8. Make sure the detachable handle is placed in the provided openings of the
lid, so the lid can be properly closed while cooking. You can observe the
cooking process through the window glass. If necessary, very carefully
wipe off condensation from the glass while opening the lid.
9. After frying is done lift the lid by the handle from the fryer. Allow steam to
escape. Hook the frying basket on the edges of the oil container (2) and let
excessive oil drip down. Topple over the fried foods into a suitable bowl or
remove the fried foods with suitable utensils from the frying basket.
10. Turn the thermostat controller counter clockwise to the OFF position. The
fryer is switched off now. Always pull the power plug when the device is
not in use.
11. Allow the hot oil to cool down and remove debris and coatings or breading
after each use. Preferably pour the cooled oil into a bowl and clean the oil
container thoroughly. Insert a fine oil strainer or a coffee filter into the small
frying basket and filter the oil back into the oil container.
Please note: The deep fat fryer can only be operated when the heat-
ing/control unit has been properly installed.

Useful Guidelines and Hints for Frying

 To achieve golden brown fried foods set the temperature to 170 °C. This
temperature setting is recommended for potatoes, starchy foods or foods
with coating and breading. For meat and poultry without coating, set the
thermostat controller to 190 °C. To fry baked goods, select the temperature
setting 170 °C.
 Smoking oil is an indication that the oil is too hot and may ignite. In this
case reduce the temperature to avoid grease fire.
 Correct frying duration and required temperature depend on the food
properties such as size and thickness. Please pay attention to the infor-
mation provided by the food producer.
 We recommend thawing frozen foods prior to frying. This is especially
necessary when frying big pieces.
 Before inserting the foods into the hot oil, shake off excessive flour or
coating.
