If the liquid level in the tank rise up to the alarm level, the
red LED illuminates and will extinguish when the liquid
level is below the alarm level.
Yellow LED "Direction of rotation" (only 3-ph models)
The yellow LED in the front cover of three-phase
controllers indicates wether the phase sequence of the
mains connection is correct. If the LED is illuminated, the
phase sequence is wrong.
Note : This function does not prevent the motor from
starting and rotating in the wrong direction because it
does not measure the phase sequence to the motor.
Therefore, the direction of rotation of three-phase pumps
must always be checked if the cable between pump and
controller has been removed.
Red LED "Failure"
Illuminates when the integrated overload protection
release in fact of overload current. The green LED will
extinguish. Change the position of the operation switch
into the position "Off". Open the cover of the control panel
and loose the four screws of the front plate. Chanmge the
position of the blue adjusting knob into the opposite
position. Fix the front plate and choose the position
"Hand" of the operating switch. If the red LED "Failure"
extinguishes and the green LED "Operating" illuminates,
change the position of the operating switch into "Auto".
Red LED "Alarm"
The red LED illuminates in case of to high liquid level in
tank. Together with the red LED, the built-in acoustic
alarm is activated if the switch in the front cover is in
position "On". Furthermore, the external fault signal
device, if fitted, is activated.
If the red LED illuminates together with the green LED,
the pump operates, but the liquid level in the tank is above
the alarm level. The alarm is automatically reset when the
liquid level has been lowered below the alarm level.
If the red LED illuminates without the green LED, the
pump was stopped by thermal cutout. In this case, push
the operation switch into position "Off". After 5 minutes
turn the switch into the position "Test". If the pump runs
smoothly and continuously, turn the switch into the
position "Auto". If not, please repeat this procedure once.
If the pump still does not work, please contact your
XYLEM service.

5.2.2. PS 2 (with 2 pumps)

The function selector offers the following functions :
Operation switch (one per pump)
Position "H"
The pump operates, irrespective of the liquid in the tank.
Position "O"
The pump is stopped.
Position "A"
Automatic pump operation according to the liquid level in
the tank. Furthermore the switch is used to quit a failure
before re-start of the unit (see below).
Acoustic alarm
Position "I"
The built-in acoustic alarm is activated. Together with the
red LED "Alarm", the built-in acoustic alarm will start if the
liquid level is above the alarm level. The alarm is automa-
tically reset when the liquid level has been lowered below
the alarm level.
Position "O"
The built-in acoustic alarm is not activated.
Reset switch
To quit a failure.
The controller front cover features Light-Emitting Diodes
(LEDs) for indication of operating conditions :
Green LED "Operation" (one per pump)
The green LED illuminates when the according pump is
operating.
Red LED "Failure" (one per pump)
The LED illuminates (the green LED extinguish) if:
a)
one or both overload protection sensors cut off the
pump motor caused by overload current.
b)
the temperature sensors cut off the pump motor
caused by motor overheating (only models with
integrated temperature sensors)
a)
Change the position of the operation switch into the
position "O". Open the cover of the control panel and
loose the four screws of the front plate. Chanmge the
position of the blue adjusting knob into the opposite
position. Fix the front plate and choose the position
"H" of the operating switch. If the red LED "Failure"
extinguishes and the green LED "Operating"
illuminates, change the position of the operating
switch into "A".
b)
Let the pump motor of standard models cool down for
5 minutes and check if the temperature sensors re-
start the motor automatically. The red LED "Failure"
will extinguish and the green LED will illuminate. If it
do not happen after 10 minutes, please go on as
described under a).
Let the pump motor of models Ex cool down for 5
minutes and press the RESET button at the control
panel. If the red LED "Failure" still illuminates , wait
another 5 minutes and press the RESET button
again. If the red LED still illuminates, please go on as
described under a).
Red LED "Alarm"
The red LED illuminates in case of to high liquid level in
tank. Together with the red LED, the built-in acoustic
alarm is activated if the switch in the front cover is in
position "On". Furthermore, the external fault signal
device, if fitted, is activated.
If the red LED illuminates together with the two green
LEDs the pumps are operating, but the liquid level in the
tank is above the alarm level. The alarm is automatically
reset when the liquid level has been lowered below the
alarm level.
If the red LED illuminates without an illumination of the red
LED "Failure" and none or only one green LED
illuminates, please contact your XYLEM service.
White LED "Direction of rotation" (only 3-ph models)
The white LED in the front cover of three-phase
controllers indicates wether the phase sequence of the
mains connection is correct. If the LED is illuminated, the
phase sequence is wrong.
Note: This function does not prevent the motor from
starting and rotating in the wrong direction because it
does not measure the phase sequence to the motor.
Therefore, the direction of rotation of three-phase pumps
must always be checked if the cable between pump and
controller has been removed (see 5.3.).
