The UFO Sirius range of illuminators are suitable for use with either glass or PMMA fiber-optic harnesses. The Sirius is powered by a 100-240 VAC remote desktop power supply unit.

POWER SUPPLY REQUIREMENTS The LED Light source is powered from a multifunction, multi-voltage, desk top Power Supply Unit. Remove the 24V Desk Top PSU from its box. This PSU is an IEC input device catering for UK, European and USA mains supplies using the relevant power cord. - Page 6 GENERAL The SIRIUS is a 90W White Light LED Light source with optional decorative wheel capability. The SIRIUS LED Light source driver PCB has all the control functionality fitted as standard. The following control functionality is available (see following image) and configurations are available. 1.

- Page 8 CONNECTION – MANUAL OPERATION There are 2 connections required – the fiber port and the mains supply cable. The fiber port should be connected first. Connect and secure the fiber optic connector into the green collar and secure using the M5 locking screw. Connect the IEC power cord into the Desk Top PSU and plug the mains plug into the electrical supply socket.

MANUAL OPERATION Switch Position Speed (RPM) Stop NORMAL MANUAL OPERATION – DECORATIVE COLOR WHEEL CONTROL WITH SENSOR For normal manual operation DIP switch 10 must be ON During normal manual decorative operation the Illuminator can be dimmed from 0 to 100% using the Manual Dimming Control and the motor can be controlled from stop to 4 speeds (see table below) using the push button Manual Motor Control on the side panel. - Page 10 CONNECTION – 0-10V OPERATION There are 3 connections required – the fiber port, the mains supply cable and the 0-10V cable. The fiber port should be connected first. Connect and secure the fiber optic connector into the aluminium collar and secure using the M5 locking screw.
- Page 11 0-10V OPERATION - STANDARD WHITE LIGHT DIMMING For 0-10v dimming operation DIP switch 10 must be ON, the Manual Dimming Control on the side panel must be turned to minimum (fully counter clockwise), and the RJ45 plug must be plugged into the right hand RJ45 socket on the side panel.
- Page 12 0-10V OPERATION – DECORATIVE COLOR/TWINKLE WHEEL CONTROL SENSOR For 0-10v wheel control DIP switch 10 must be ON, and the RJ45 plug must be plugged into the left hand RJ45 socket on the side panel. The Illuminator decorative wheel can be controlled with a receiving 0-10V signal as detailed in the following table.
- Page 13 0-10V OPERATION – DECORATIVE TWINKLE WHEEL CONTROL SENSOR For 0-10v wheel control DIP switch 10 must be ON, and the RJ45 plug must be plugged into the left hand RJ45 socket on the side panel. NOTE: for this configuration of a twinkle wheel with sensor, the wheel is supplied with a cut out segment The Illuminator decorative twinkle wheel can be controlled with a receiving 0-10V signal to give stop (0V DC) to varying speeds (0.5 to 10V DC) ranging...

DMX CHANNELS Each Sirius occupies 3 DMX channels as detailed in the following tables. When selecting DMX addresses 3 channels must be available, for example if the first Sirius is addressed to 009, the next must be 012, the next must be 015 and so SETTING THE DMX ADDRESS The DMX address of each illuminator is set manually using the DIP switch accessible on the side panel as shown below. - Page 16 DMX OPERATION - DECORATIVE COLOR/TWINKLE WHEEL CONTROL NO SENSOR NOTE: for this configuration of a twinkle wheel without sensor, the wheel is solid without a cut out segment. For DMX wheel control DIP switch 10 must be OFF and the XLR plug(s) must be plugged into the XLR sockets on the side panel.
