Safety Notes - Westfalia 24 33 78 Instruction Manual

Please note the following safety notes to avoid malfunctions,
damage or physical injury:
Only use the pressure cooker for cooking foodstuff.
Never use the pressure cooker to deep-fry foodstuff under pressure.
Persons with limited physical, sensorial or mental abilities are not allowed to
use the unit, unless they are supervised and briefed for their safety by a
qualified person.
Never leave the pressure cooker for long time unsupervised when in use.
Keep out of reach of children or persons in need of supervision.
Do not place the pressure cooker in a hot oven.
Keep all parts clean as they come into contact with foodstuff.
Do not touch with bare hands any hot parts during cooking process. Use
suitable hand gloves.
Move the pressure cooker slowly if there is pressure inside the cooker. There
is risk of burns! Keep the pressure cooker always horizontally while putting
down.
Make sure the lid is closed tight before heating up.
Never use the pressure cooker without water to avoid damaging the unit.
Make sure during cooking process water cannot evaporate completely.
Do not overfill the pressure cooker.
Only use the pressure cooker on heat sources that are intended for this use.
While cooking on electric or induction stoves, the diameter of the heating
plate should not be bigger than the capsule bottom. While cooking on gas
stoves the flame should not exceed the diameter of the capsule bottom.
Before each use, make sure the overpressure valve (2) is free. Never place
any objects on the lid.
Only use original parts from Westfalia.
Never force the lid while opening.
Make sure the discharge opening (3a) is not directed towards people while
discharging. There is risk of burns!
Do not pour water directly on the pressure regulator (3) and the overpressure
valve (2).
Do not immerse the whole pressure cooker in water if it is hot.
