Before first Use

 Take the unit out of the package and dispose of the packaging materials
(plastic bags) or store out of the reach of children. There is a danger of
suffocation!
 Place the hot knife on the provided stand on a solid and level surface.

Intended Use

The hot knife is designed for profile and circle cuts in rigid foam boards, such
as polystyrene, Alporit, pipe lagging and polystyrene ceiling tiles.

Operation

1. Push the ON/OFF switch/temperature regulator (3) in direction to 1, in
order to switch on the unit. The power control lamp (2) will turn on. Push
the temperature regulator in direction 2 – 5, in order to increase the tem-
perature. The temperature settings are:
1 = 120° C
The unit needs some minutes to reach the pre-set operating temperature.
When the blade reaches the pre-set temperature, it will remain at the
temperature selected.
Attention! There is risk of burns! Keep body parts away from the hot knife.
When cutting rigid foam boards etc. harmful fumes may escape. Ensure
sufficient ventilation.
2. Use the sharp edge of the blade for line cutting or use the side of the
blade for wide groove cutting.
3. Always place the unit on the
provided stand (7), as shown
in the picture on the right.
4. After work, turn the ON/OFF
switch (3) back to the position
0 until the power control lamp
(2) turns off.
Please note that the blade will remain hot for some time. Allow the unit to
cool down completely before storing it.
5. When not in use, unplug the unit from power mains.
Operation
2 = 220° C
3 = 330° C
4 = 400° C

5 = 450° C.
