Installing the awning

7.1 Required installation material
For the installation of the awning, you will need:
 Drill bits:  8 mm and 11 mm
 Counterbore
 Metal saw
 10 mm open-ended spanner or connection socket
 Torque wrench
 Phillips screwdriver or bit
 A suitable flexible adhesive/sealant, such as Sikaflex
 Cleaner recommended for use with the adhesive
 Primer recommended for use with the adhesive
7.2 Installing the awning
WARNING! Beware of injury
!
Always install the mounting bracket using the supplied spacer
sleeves, shortened to 2 mm less than the thickness of the external
wall. Otherwise, the awning can break off and cause serious injury.
NOTICE!
A
Make sure that you do not damage any cables or cabinets when
drilling.
➤ Remove the awning from the premounted mounting bracket (fig. 7,
page 1).
➤ Determine the location of the installation.
In particular, check that there is enough space in the interior to mount the
backer plates at the points where the screws will be.
