CONNECTING THE BOOSTER TO THE LOAD
The booster is connected to the load from the front panel socket shown in
Figure 2-6.
Suitably rated cables, 2 metres long and wired into the appropriate pins of a single
plug, are provided for connecting the booster to the load.
The connections, shown in Figure 2-6, are as follows:
CE
WE
RE1, RE2
If you wish to use your own cables, the CE and WE cables need to be a wire
gauge adequate for 25A operation and of a resistance low enough to allow the
maximum required voltage to be reached. Make sure the correctly rated cables
are used, so that they can dissipate heat.
The reference electrodes RE1 and RE2 must be connected directly to the cell, or
as close to the cell as possible, to minimise errors due to ohmic drop in the CE
and WE cables.
