Adjust the LED intensity

There are two methods available for adjusting the intensity of the LED:
• Adjusting the LED with a Modbus connection (preferred)
• Adjusting the LED without a Modbus connection (for use if a Modbus
connection is not possible)

4.1 Adjusting the LED with a Modbus Connection

1) Connect a cable terminal to the
4500 MkIII Connector C.
2) Connect a Modbus master to the
RS485 port (green, yellow and
black wires).
3) Apply 24 V dc power to the red
and blue wires of Connector A.
4) Observe Modbus registers 121,
122 and 124. These indicate the
intensity of the LED signals on
the reference detector.
5) Adjust potentiometer PR1 until
Register 124 has a maximum
value not exceeding 56000.
6) Adjust potentiometer PR2 until
Registers 121 and 122 have a
maximum value, with neither
value exceeding 56000.
7) Disconnect 24 V dc power.
8) Disconnect the Modbus cable.
9) Go to Section 5 below.
